The Long Haul

Where does the time go? I may not have a job outside the boat, but none-the-less I am definately keeping busy cleaning out my storage unit and on the boat. Since January, I have reorganized my galley and other areas on the boat, getting rid of stuff I just don't need or want anymore. I have sorted through most of the things in the storage unit and made separate piles for garage sale, family, and garbage. The Brownsville Yacht Club is having a garage sale in April, so most of our stuff will go to support the club. Family has gotten what they want or need, but the cleaning continues. The goal is to be rid of the storage unit in May. That will save some $$$ there.

Dave has been putting in extra fittings and such for the new watermaker and air conditioning. Because the air conditioner has a heat pump, we will take out the existing furnace, which will give us a little more storage space. The boat, she be looking good. On March 17th, we will take the boat to Lake Union and have it hauled out of the water so the watermaker, through hauls, airconditioning, and new prop, can be installed. Progress is being made.

Well I tried getting a part time job, but they are few and far between. All the internet jobs I have scouted out have been for typing ads, which is not what I want to do, or they were scams. So at this late date, I have decided not to have an outside working job, and I am now pursuing freelance writing. I have signed up with Helium.com to write on different subjects, and/or make up my own. If publishers like my work, they will pay me. It won't happen right away, but the more I write, the better I will get and someone is bound to like my stuff. I can do this anywhere in the world, so it is a great job for me. Dave isn't real happy right now that I am not bringing in money, but I will be. Have to give it some time. So who knows--you might be reading an article I wrote sometime.
